Technologies
A system of integrated manufacturing technologies is the cornerstone of development and prototype construction. Although the techniques used are primarily for r/c scale modeling, larger scale engines can be produced. The goal is a thrust vectored ducted fan engine with vertical flight capabilities at any scale size.

Composite Molding
Several types of mold making and rapid prototyping applications are employed in construction of the prototype engines. Plugs created from cardboard and hot glue provide the basic form. Foam, masking tape, chipboard and aluminum tape make the mold durable enough for multiple part production. Vacuum bagging techniques provide clean well shaped parts from the mold plugs. Once individual parts are manufactured they are assembled into units or installed onto units. The result is light weight fiberglass and carbon fiber pieces. This is heart of the process. Development of the Hover-Jet VTC, AV8OR Jump jet, Cloud Buster UAV and Pegasus Aircycle is through the use of these remarkable materials and their application in this venture. |
Application of this technology is unlimited and can incorporate r/c scale parts as well as larger turbine size components.
